TCR #11 and CK Special Issue

I was FINALLY caught up enough to play again over at The Color Room!
I love their palettes and sketches each week, and this one was no exception:

Here's what I did with it:

I flipped the sketch counter-clockwise the switched places with the two clusters of elements. Cosmo Cricket's Delovely Collection paired perfectly with some greens and pinks from Hambly...
I added some pleated crepe paper along each outer edge:

Lovin' on these leaves I made with Prima lace, around a vintage mini-flower:

Couldn't stop with just ONE color of orange ink, heehee, so I tripled it up with Glimmer Mist in Tuscan Sun, Maya Mist in Lemon, and Shimmerz Spritz in Mango Madness:

Thanks so much for the fabulous inspiration, TCR!

Next, have you seen this yet?

SO very excited to have two of my fave recent layouts in this issue!
One features some yummy Studio Calico Homefront along with a fun frame idea, and the other is ALL paper plus a funny little pic of my daughters scared of a squirrel, LOL. Take a teeny peek here:

Soooo...if you haven't checked out this special issue yet, go take a look! :)

More Snob Stuff! :)

Ok, without further ado, here are the rest of my
Snobby Walrus June kit creations, made with the Dirty Martini kit:

Seriously LOVE the grungy-yet-elegant vibe of this whole kit! I was able to make bold, masculine projects with red and black accents like the moustache layout I showcased earlier, as well as more neutral, girly layouts like this:

The Glitz rub-on frames in this kit were fabulous, and I added some misting over a crown glimmer screen, as well as some Prima pebbles from the
Snobby Walrus store.

DD was NOT happy in this photo, heh...all because of the TINIEST of tiny smudges of dirt from her cousin's shoe that got on her precious satin-covered pink birthday chair, LOL. What a face:

Next, I made this Father's Day coupon gift for my husband, using the
Jenni Bowlin and G45 from the kit, as well as the packaging from the kit's mini album:

I ripped the top layer off the alphas from the kit to give them a raw distressed chipboard look, and glazed the entire thing with the Rock Candy crackle paint from the kit. The kids wrote on the back of each coupon, giving him gifts of their own making, like "iced diet coke, free delivery" and "free song and dance". :) Too cute.

On this next layout, I layered the photos under the Hambly overlay, and the accents on top:

These Prima mini-flowers are available in the SW store, and I just had to pair them with this kit, glazed with Rocky Candy:

The MME summer rub-ons fit perfectly inside the Hambly circles:

Lastly, this quirky layout about a silly sleepover we had with my sister, who we hadn't seen for over a year and a half. Shenanigans ensued, resulting in this embarrassing photo, hehe:

I took apart the Prima lollipop flowers, and paired them with the Webster's trim and MME brads for some fun custom flowers:

I sprayed the entire thing with marshmallow glimmer mist just for fun, so the whole page looks all glimmery in real life:

Stay tuned next week for the July kit reveal over at Snobby Walrus
(*hint hint* it's my FAVORITE SW kit yet! Don't miss it!)

Lastly, here's the last two layouts and card I made with June's gorgeous kit:

I used a Spellbinders embossing template as a mask on top of the October Afternoon paper, and spritzed it with Shimmerz Spritz in Sapphire.

The vintage eyelet trim in this kit is I aged it even more with a hint of Lemon Maya Mist in a couple spots.

This next layout showcases the awesome exclusive glazed banner accents included in this month's kit:

I also die-cut some shapes out of the white tissue paper packaging from the kit, and stamped it up with the exclusive label stamp for a fun layered butterfly accent...I gotta use every last scrap, you know me! :)

Lastly, if you're still reading, hehe, here's a card:

I gold-embossed with the stamp, and cut out a fun frayed butterfly accent with the fabulous fabric:

Thanks for visiting, and Happy Weekend!

Pea Feature!

Wow, look who's the featured layout over at 2Peas today?! I'm so excited!

This is my second layout from the June Midnight Rooster kit,
Happy Little Vintage.

Again, I used the saffron lace. I also ADORE this label stamp, designed exclusively by Michelle from Purple Onion Designs for Midnight Rooster.

Love the pop of red-orange from the Crate Paper, along with the saffron and grey, and the hint of B&W polka dots and arrow from
October Afternoon Thrift Shop...*happy sigh*

Thanks so much, 2Peas, I'm so thrilled!

Back from the Bay...

I'm back after 12 glorious-slash-exhausting days of vacation,
with much catch up on and lots to share!

First, here's a few peeks at our trip:

Secondly, here's my first June layout from the
Snobby Walrus kit, Dirty Martini (available now):

Are you in LOVE with those Hambly mustaches?! Such a quirky-fun classic and great to use for Father's Day projects! On this layout, I backed the rub-ons with white cardstock and attached them with MME Lush brads for a great gallery style photo-topper.

On to the third thing, the Midnight Rooster June kit reveal,
Happy Little Vintage:

And here's my first project with this incredible kit:

I could not be in any more love with the vintage saffron lace included in this kit!

Stay tuned each day this week for more kit reveal projects, fun news, and another off to turn up the music and make up for lost scrappin' time!
