This is Why...

I've been meaning to post this favorite I made a couple months ago for a while.
Used up old stash in some fun ways to capture my little one looking at herself in a scrapbook, LOL...have had these photos for a few years, doesn't time fly?

Don't want to forget the joy of Why I Scrapbook:
Used up old CP, VERY old Narratives stickers, and some Zva & AC.

These photos make me wanna scrap even MORE, if that's possible.  :-)

Hambly and 2Peas Prize...

When I received my Hambly/2Peas prize in the mail last month, I was BEYOND excited...luscious overlays, vellums, papers, stickers, alphas, rubons...oh MY!
Needless to say, I was in heaven.
Here is the first project I created with all that Hambly goodness...using a label punch to highlight all the papers, along with photos showcasing life through my daughter's eyes (and her camera lens).

I have to say, I love the result:

For a bit more texture, I dry-embossed several of the papers and overlays, and added splashes of Mister Huey in Calico White, and Maya Mist in Lemon.  I also pop-dotted all the photos for some subtle dimension...hope you like?!  :-)

AC Mementos

As I've been trying to use up my stash from LAST CHA, to make room for THIS one, I'm reminded of my fave products from this past summer's show.
One of those product was American Crafts Mementos from the Dear Lizzy they are on a fun shabby-chic layout:

I bought the whole set in large part because of that adorable teacup, LOL, so it was fun to finally find it a home on a project. :-)
Also still in love with these Tattered Angels framed fonts, Crate Restoration accents, & Prima butterflies.
Ahhh, feels good to make a teeny bit more room for new goodies!

Belated Mini-Kit Winner is...

Sandy Ang said...
I want to be more adventurous in my scrapping style. Create works that are more free and whimsical.

Congrats, Sandy!!!  Send me an email with your info so your gorgeous mini-kit prize can be on its way to you!

Thanks, everyone, for sharing your outlooks, goals, words, and hopes for 2011...I'm going into this new year with much optimism and hope (which is a rare outlook for a "realist" like me, lol).

Speaking of a New Year, click HERE for the full debut of Midnight Rooster's gorgeous January Kit, Farmer's Daughter.  Here are my projects:

These corrugated shapes are easy to stitch through!

L.O.V.E. these paper accents from Glitz!

Had to add LOTS of "library date stamps" :)

You NEED this banner stamp, no?!

Love these little Sass critters peeking out in a row.

Adore the combo of this Echo Park # paper and Crate report cards.

This new red AC alpha is my current OBSESSION.

Had fun stamping "bubbles" with both ends of the mist cap.

Used the Jillibean packaging for this "I Spy" shaker-box game for my 5-year-old...she LOVES it.

Added double-sided shapes and objects from home as well as previous MR kits.

In other news, my 5-day-fever is finally GONE and I can get my scrap on for the first time in 2011, woot woot!  Be back soon with more projects, as well as my already-growing wish list for CHA...anything catching your eye yet?

Let's Get It Started!!!

The New Year, that is!!!

Hard to believe 2011 is here, no more twenty-ten...lots to reflect on this past year, and I'm looking forward to lots of changes in the new one...bring it on!

I've loved seeing everyone's Top Ten of 2010, so of course I have to follow suit:

Love this TCR-inspired layout...the flow of embellishments and the photos.

Had such fun with my first MR the rainbow and hand-colored images.
Featured at the color combo, saffron lace, and stamp!
Another TCR the paint/stamp techniques and the handmade flowers.
Can't get enough Artisan Elements!
Love the design, photos, and products here.
Love how this shows off my fave vacation photo of the year.
Love the simplicity, misting and photos.
Love the colors and handmade accents and mixing old&new.
The messy tons-of-twine makes me happy! :-)
Soooo...wishing you the Happiest of New Years...I've yet to scrap this year but am planning on making that happen tonight!  :-)
