OA September Sketch

Another sketch challenge layout, this time over at October Afternoon HERE.

I used up the ALMOST-last of my favorite beach products from OA with this layout:

I added two more photos to the sketch, and switched the title & journaling placement, but kept the same structure.

Love creating simple pages like this, using paper+punches to create custom accents, like these little boat circles.
Thanks for stopping by today! :-)

Echo Park Challenge...

So happy I found time to play along with a sketch challenge over at Echo Park.  You can see the sketch, by Nancy Damiano, at the EP blog HERE.

Here's my layout, using a mix of items from several collections:

Yes, I admit, when I saw my daughter sitting on the couch looking through an old viewmaster she'd found in the craft closet, I ran to get my camera...I've been WAITING to use that awesome EP paper! :-)

Love both these viewmaster papers, love that they're different sizes & colors.  This was a great use-my-stash project, combining new things from Everyday Eclectic, Toy Box, Note to Self, with older things, like random dot-stickers (the negative space from the original For The Record EP border sheet).

Vintage Fusion - September

This week, my September projects are up over at Vintage Street Market...I just love that they are offering all sorts of great vintage-vibe products in the store now, along with their own branded VSM products!

This month, I worked with the Kitsch Kitchen's my layout:

For me, there's just nothing quite like the one-of-a-kind look you can achieve with authentic vintage ephemera+accents on a craft project.  Here, I've used vintage recipe book pages, labels, and various vintage circle accents to bring a unique look to my Labor Day BBQ that little cocktail fork!

If you're a vintage-lover at heart too, I'd love to know what sorts of vintage accents YOU love to include while creating & crafting!

Little Black Dress - Lucky Penny

Hey there, and Happy Monday!

Soon, I hope to get back to posting some "just because" please bear with me, but today, here are my favorite projects from the Little Black Dress August kit - Lucky Penny:

First up, a grid-style 2-pager:

I find that every time I look through one of my scrapbooks, I tend to linger often on these grid-style, year-in-review style layouts.  They are sometimes a bit of work to put together, with all the photos, etc...but I love having so many little memories all laid out for me on a two-page spread.

Here's a closer look at each side of the layout:

And here's a close-up of my happy little dressed-up family accents:

Next up, a layout using the GREAT Elle's Studio stamp from the kit, which I love and can see myself using often:

I stamped it with Versamark first, then embossed with black glitter powder.

Last layout, another flower-filled one:

Love the cloud vellum & the little kraft bag from the kit, and love the way the photos look like I'm peeking into her little fairy world:

And speaking of "just because"'s a little Just Because card...perfect for giving to someone for any reason or no reason at all, other than Thinking of You:
