Wild West Mini with BoBunny

Happy soon-to-be July to all you crafters out there!  This month with BoBunny, I combined the Juliet collection and the Penny Emporium collection to create a deliciously vintage mini album, showcasing our "Wild West" tradition for Father's Day and Dad's Birthday every year.  I had fun combining elegant images and heavy distressing techniques with tongue-in-cheek photos from this year's Father's Day bash.  Let's take a look!

The front cover is steampunk-elegant with a neutral color palette.  The gold rub-ons adhere to the fabric album binding fabulously, and the layered chipboard accents give great dimension.

Obviously, these photos are meant to be funny and silly - a rootin' tootin' Old West card game with their Daddy, pretending to talk all Cowboy-like with their Sarsaparilla and candy cigs, lol.

The new Misc Me pocket squares are double-sided, so I can get both pages' designs with no bulk or pattern waste.  Brads, stickers, and jewels finish off the look.

I love that printing press paper in the background, and the distressed edges of the photo mat are heavily inked with blue and brown ink.  The initials on each page coordinate with the Cowboy Criminal names the kids made up for this Wanted-Poster photo shoot.  (This little one went with Franny Thinwrists McCoy, in case y'all were wonderin').

Do I look like a sneaky, murderous gold miner, heh?!  More inking and layering with rub-ons here, and here's a final look at the detail on that gorgeous steampunk chipboard accent:
